The Shade Shop: Gracie Campaign

When the Shade Shop created a pair of custom lampshades in partnership with Gracie, the world-famous atelier of hand-painted wallpaper, they asked us to create a social media campaign that would introduce this new collection to the world. The initial part of the campaign would be teaser ads to run on Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest that would foster anticipation for the Gracie collection ahead of its release, and the second part would promote the product launch.
We developed ad concepts, wrote copy, and presented a suite of ads—using videos, carousels, and static images—for both parts of the campaign. For the teasers we created a sense of mystery during an in-studio shoot by hinting at the look of the lampshades without revealing them completely. For the product launch ads, we shot on-location at the store to capture the lampshades in tasteful displays and home-like vignettes. We then edited a final series of videos for use in the paid campaign.
In addition to social media, we designed an email blast for the store’s existing contacts using our video and photo assets. The first sale of the new collection came less than an hour after the email was sent.
